National 'that sucks' day

The ubiquitous phrase when something goes awry. *insert a sigh.

I uttered these two words as recent as yesterday evening.

A little side note: I have not created any posts for a while but I have not intentionally left you in the dark.

I'm hoping my absence has made the heart grow fonder and you are eager to read this post. 😌

In South Africa, specifically the province of KwaZulu-Natal, has been severely affected by floods. It's devastating.

Many have had their homes flooded, their possesions damaged, water and electricity supply problems and the saddest news are the lives lost. 😱 There are numerous volunteers and donations from residents far and wide assisting those affected. We are standing together and will get through this, maybe not coming out on the other side as we hoped but we will overcome this. We overcame the looting of last year, we are resilient!

Events in our lives often don't go to plan. (This really annoys those that love to have set plans for the day)đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž.You just gotta roll with it and be adaptable.

Yes it's upsetting and can drag you down emotionally but let's try to limit our amount of sadness by remembering all the blessings we have received todayâ˜€ïžđŸ™Œ. The sun might not be shining but let's create our own 'sunshine' for our day, and better yet for someone else too!😊

When the day isn't going your way, be reminded that you are victorious. 💃đŸ•șđŸ‘đŸŒ
